Twin Lakes, Colorado Elopement: Libby & Noah

Libby & Noah’s elopement in May was special for so many reasons. Of course, the love between the two of them says it all. This was also my first wedding after the Covid-19 shutdown, and they had planned to get married on the exact same day non-essential businesses (Photography included) were legally allowed to operate again. After months of so many creative roadblocks, it was so freeing to spend this day up in the mountains witnessing their love.

Their Twin Lakes elopement was simple, beautiful, and so perfectly them.

Libby got ready with an antique mirror that I had actually taken off my own wall the night before just in case she needed it! Nothing wrong with checking your makeup in the car mirror, but a little extra reflection never hurts.

Twin Lakes is one of my absolute favorite spots in Colorado. It’s always stunning, but the afternoon wind? Brutal. Libby and Noah didn’t mind, though, they embraced the adventure, even making time to go fishing together, something they love to do.

Their elopement was full of those little unscripted moments that make a day feel so special. Libby stopped to grab flowers on the way to the ceremony. They shared a first look, exchanged vows, dipped their feet in the lake, and then had their first cast as husband and wife.

One of the coolest things about getting married in Colorado? You don’t need an officiant! Just a marriage license and each other. Your elopement can truly just be the two of you, which is extra special!
